C2C Social Action

C2C has been successful in establishing a flagship Women’s Centre in Northampton since 2015. Working strategically in a whole system approach is one of our values, enabling vulnerable women from diverse backgrounds to believe that they can make different life choices towards achieving goals which previously they would not have considered attainable. The women’s centre is opened daily, within school hours, it is a safe and supportive environment for women, run by women. The centre provides a space for women to belong and has a real sense of community. It gives women a place where they have wrap around services, with statutory and third sector agencies working collaboratively.

The women we serve have varying needs, thus the centre is able to offer women one to one support and a place to complete their community orders/licences, have refreshments, lunch, support, advice, and signposting regarding their benefits, family breakdown, homelessness, employment, health and further education.

We also facilitate three trauma informed group work programmes, which enables women to re-build their physical and emotional resilience. Whether it’s our one to one sessions, support women’s sessions or our programmes, we continue to receive very positive feedback and testimonials from women making positive life changing decisions.

We also have 2 supported accommodation 1 for men and 1 for women and 2 further accommodations for those living more independently. In addition, we have a youth cookery programme, teaching about food hygiene and cookery skills.
